The Government Opportunities Business Conference (GOBC) is a statewide conference series hosted at Department of Defense installations and Federal Agency locations throughout Wisconsin. Celebrating 20 years of connecting businesses with government opportunities, GOBC provides a unique forum for industry, government, military leadership, economic development organizations, and resource partners to come together and strengthen Wisconsin’s role in supporting government missions and the nation’s security.

Each event is tailored to the host installation or agency, offering attendees valuable insight into its mission, capabilities, operational priorities, and current and future procurement needs. Participants gain a better understanding of how businesses can support government operations, the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), critical supply chains, and emerging national priorities.

Every GOBC begins with the signature COFFEE with the COMMANDER program—a unique opportunity to hear directly from installation leadership about their mission, challenges, priorities, and vision for the future. This special session provides attendees with an insider’s perspective rarely available to the public and helps businesses better understand the organizations they may support.

In addition to COFFEE with the COMMANDER, each event may include:

  • Presentations from installation and agency procurement officials
  • Discussions on current and future contracting opportunities
  • Updates on government acquisition trends and requirements
  • Information on cybersecurity, supply chain readiness, and Defense Industrial Base preparedness
  • Resource briefings from federal, state, and local partners
  • Networking opportunities with government personnel, prime contractors, and fellow businesses
